Joey here, 21, male from Cebu. Studied BSIT 2nd year associate graduate. I've been into computer stuffs since I got addicted to Ragnarok Online, my first ever encounter of a PC. Mula nun, computer nalang pinagkakaabalahan ko. I dreamed of being a chef/cook before but turned out that my affection to computers got intense and I just realized na ito ang gusto kong gawin buong buhay ko.
At dahil sa pagiging obsessed ko sa computers, naalala ko pa nun tinatawag ako ng mga cmate ko nung highschool na "Father of computers". I wasn't good at academics pero pagcomputers na pag-uusapan, grades ko: line of 9 while mathematics sciences and the likes, line of 7.
So I guess ito na talaga passion ko. And until know, ito parin talaga pinagkakaabalahan ko. I'm currently self-studying(got all the resources on my hands and the best friend of all friend: internet..). stop ng pag-aaral due to financial reason. Doesn't hinder me from improving and pursuing this field and will never be an excuse kung bakit hindi ako magiging sucessful sa career nato. I'm into Web Development(HTML/CSS/JS/PHP), both designing and programming web applications.
I've just graduated last year, Associate graduate. I am considering myself as an intermediate level developer. Puhunan lang e, passion and determination. Gusto ko ang ginagawa ko and I'm determined to do it kahit sa mga panahon na hindi ko feel na gawin. Hopefully pagkatapos ng preparation ko, makapag-apply ng trabaho bago matapos ang taon, armed with the skills kahit na hindi ako bachelor graduate. Yun ang maganda sa field natin, may opportunity parin kahit ba wala kang diplomang hinahawakan. I've witnessed I.T gurus na undergraduate pero successful sa field natin, sure rin ako na merong mga kasymbianize who shares the same stories. Not to mention sila Steve jobs and bill gates, common examples ng mga prominent people na hindi graduate pero look at them. And I see them as inspirations, by the way.
Eto muna sa ngaun, babalik-tanaw ako sa thread na to in the coming years and titignan ko kung gano na kalayo narating ko. Cheers to all!
